Tool of the Day: Gemini Notebook

Gemini Notebook is Google’s AI-powered research notebook, previously known as NotebookLM before its reported renaming in July.

You can upload your own sources, including PDFs, Google Docs, websites, and YouTube videos, and ask questions based on the information you provide.

It can also transform your sources into slide presentations or audio overviews that you can listen to. More than 30 million people reportedly use it.

Try this yourself:

  • Visit https://notebook.google and sign in with your Google account.
  • Create a new notebook and upload your sources, such as a PDF document or YouTube video link.
  • Ask questions about your uploaded content and receive AI-generated answers.
  • Convert your research materials into an audio overview or slide presentation.

Who it’s for: Students, researchers, professionals, content creators, and anyone with a 300-page PDF they don’t have time to read.

Note: The reported renaming and user count have not been independently verified.
